Woah poor Mia! OK so I chose to do Mia for the knitting world cup - I've just given her the red card that naughty naughty lace shrug! Why you ask? Well as the referee I have the final say and that bitch was just not cutting it for the Cup, she was being naughty and nasty and as my first garment (I've been doing scarves and scarves and more scarves oh and some pocketbook slippers since knitting again) she wasn't pulling through.
So, last week from Amazon I got delivery of "Big Girl Knits" - woah this book is lusher than lush and I glanced at it. Last night I poured over it finally having time to actually look. Therein the pages lies the new team for the cup. Her name is Bombshell and she is delicious. She looks like a total challenge for me; a T-Shirt knitted in the round - they say use Lorna's laces Lion & Lamb 50% silk 50% wool but I can't wear wool it itches and the smell of silk makes me feel a bit sick so cotton she shall be!
I'm off to Creations in Barnes to visit Jean and pick up Bombshell's team colours ;)

Great choice for the World Cup! I want to get that book...next payday, perhaps. It's got several cool things. Good luck with the cup!
