Schweet!

A number of sweetness things to post. First, yesterday my KH swap pal package arrived - two gorgeous deep red balls of Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk - this stuff is sooooooo soft. It's like two fluffy little clouds in a jiffy bag! I can't stop cuddling it, it is so gorgeous - the colour is beautiful and I've never ever touched anything as soft in my life.

Also included in the package was a gorgeous lantern moon keychain with a little tiny sweater on it - so cute! So to my dear dear secret swap pal, thank you so much! I'm so pleased with the package and it was a lovely surprise. She mailed me to say it was on the way then suddenly it was here!

Pictures for this post will follow when I get home this evening - need to take them and get them onto the PC ;)

Also in the post yesterday; On Monday I ordered some ultra cheap Rowan All Season's Cotton from an ebay seller - I ended up getting 3 packs of the stuff as it is a gorgeous dusky midnight blue colour (one of my favourite colours) and I will find something to make with it (if not another Bombshell - I have to get to the end of making this one though and it is problematic now I've started working in the round, purl stitches showing on the knit side, I've got it upside down after joining so it has to be back knitted a row and a half to correct).

I also picked up a pack of Rowan Cotton Glace from the same seller in a deep red wine colour. This will be used to make a Soleil from Knitty when I'm done with Bombshell.

This last week has been a good week in the post. I received another great book, Knitting Plus: Simple Stunning Techniques For Embroidered Knittin by Montse Stanley. Today I also received Making Knitwear Fit by Pat Ashforth & Steve Plummer - this is going to help me in my quest to re-size existing patterns and to help me in the future with general adaptations. I'm waiting on Creating Knitwear Designs, and also Knitting Your Own Designs For A Perfect Fit by Montse Stanley.

Also, the Knitting World Cup has made it to the national press! Check out The Guardian article about it.
