I knew a bit about circuits and read a bit and thought yeah this is gonna be tough but NOTHING could have prepared me whatsoever for what I went through last night. I really thought the instructor would do like all the other classes and start with "hi my name is xx anyone here not done circuits before?"
Oh how wrong I was. He walked in, this short foreign man (not sure if he was Spanish or Italian but he was certainly Mediterranean) built like a brick s**t house, with a big grin and a clap of his hands the music started and that was that. A full hour of NON STOP stuff, moving from station to station doing exercise at each station, then group exercise then stations over and over. All the while my body was screaming with lack of oxygen as I tried to keep up.
A very kind lady from Australia who also does body pump partnered with me for the circuits. She showed me what to do and nodded to the instructor that I was new - he got it already he noticed I was new and when things were impossibly hard he looked at me, nodded and showed me a different exercise to do from everyone else.
The hour was up before I knew it, though all the while I thought "this is never going to end - could this be my room 101?"
Afterwards I felt great - out of breath, extremely red faced but great. So I decided to stretch it all out in the pool with a swim. It was during this 20 length spree of swimming that my chest began to scream at me and I felt like The Alien was inside trying to burst out of me hahaha
Wow that was one hell of a class - I'm gonna do it again next week! Also next Thursday the swimming lessons start Yipppeeeeee! I'll finally be able to do more than just flouder around in the pool in a bizarre drowning cat like fashion, and finally be able to breathe properly and put the arms and legs in all the right places to make me move through the water smoothly!
So now for a little light entertainment for you, a couple of pictures from My Virtual Model web site. These are me now, and me how I want to look (at my ideal weight that is) - I'll never actually look as smooth skinned and toned as this MVM looks but still - the body shape / weight should be about right. The one of now is scarily accurate in the way it looks. My weight is all on my belly and boobs.
So without further ado here's a giggle for you; the left is (obviously) as I am on this very day - that is 16lbs lighter than when I started and the right is the me I am aiming for. That is another 53lbs to go - not too far eh? ;)
